FROM THE WEDDING PLANNERS
Polina and Denis dreamed to organize a luxurious, but at the same time very gentle and romantic wedding in a beautiful location with exquisite design. They spent a few years in Spain and fell in love with this country. We wanted to add the leitmotif of Spain, and to do it the most interestingly way. Living in Spain, Polina fell in love with the luxurious lilac wisteria, which has its branches wrapped around the ancient Spanish castles.
This image inspired our team to create the concept of “Flowering Wisteria”, which perfectly matched with the history of our couple’s story. The color palette of the wedding was based on Polina’s favorite shades– from dusty pink to deep purple. Developing layout design for wedding decoration, our team tried to create the maximum feeling of airiness. The design was filled with transparent material, cool colors, translucent fabrics and mirrored surfaces. The impression was as if guests found themselves in a magical crystal palace. Not only the favorite colors of the bride, but also the interests of the groom served as an inspiration for the decorators.
Denis is engaged in hockey for many years. Therefore decorators suggested adding metallic accessories for the morning preparations of the groom, and to create a feeling of ice surfaces at the banquet, setting mirrored tables and crystal chandeliers.
The ceremony area was decorated with unique arrangement – “real” tree of Wisteria in bloom. No one in Russia has ever created such a tree before. Blooming Wisteria blended into the landscape so harmoniously, that it seemed the tree grew at this place for centuries. Flowers framed the aisle with a monogram of the couple and one of the patterns of the wedding led to the tree. Transparent chairs in this area were perfectly in harmony with the gazebo and glimmered beautifully in the sunlight.
A unique set of invitations was developed specially for this wedding. The lavender envelope was decorated with wisteria, wax seal with the couples monogram and calligraphy. The invitation was printed on clear plastic. The second part of the invitation — the dress code card — contained an image of the greenhouse with wisteria that was a reference to the ceremony area and the entire concept of the wedding.
Some surprises were prepared for guests and newlyweds during the evening. Polina and Denis appeared in the hall in incredibly bright style. The groom performed a song welcoming the guests and opening banquet. In the middle of the evening Polina changed several dresses. At first a second wedding dress for the first dance, and then a costume dress – to perform special Latino dance for Denis. Denis, in turn, had prepared a surprise for Polina with full responsibility. Several training sessions with professional dancers and here it is – one of the most fun and memorable events of the evening. The groom went to the dance floor and danced to the popular tunes of recent years with his friends for seven minutes. The performance was very dynamic despite its length. The bride and the guests were lost in admiration.
The wedding cake with a height of almost one meter, made according to our sketches, appeared at the end of the evening. In conclusion, artists of fire-show performed effective show in Spanish style.
Preparing the shoot for Muravnik photography Barcelona workshop we decided to work with a real couple – Lisa and Claudio, getting inspiration from their story.
Lisa and Claudio:
She was born in snowy Sweden, him — under the radiant sun of Chile, destiny brought them to the Mediterranean in Barcelona.
Lightness of flowing silks and buff masonry walls of a Spanish manor of the 16th century, noble shine of gold and magical gardens of the Renaissance, blinding glow of diamonds, frozen in the color of burnt sugar, luxurious floral arrangements of orchids, ranunculus, roses, peonies and jasmine, caressed by copper rays of the setting sun — Our story breathes the air of a languid late afternoon in Spain. The story, created under the notes of pale golden Chardonnay, retained aristocratic elegance and refined luxury, all tied up by the sweetness of a vanilla Spanish sky.
Words of love:
Lisa’s morning began in the garden of a Spanish manor writing a letter to her beloved Claudio, tracing calligraphic monograms on handmade paper. A cream dessert colored boudoir lingerie made of natural silk, soft hair, a slight touch of make-up to emphasize the natural beauty of the bride created a gentle romantic image.
The bride’s vanity table was decorated with a composition of garden flowers, with noble accents of peony-roses and peonies, which complemented a vintage perfume bottle containing the bride’s favorite honey aroma.
Oneness with nature and harmony is felt in every detail, starting with the weightless style of bridal gown in contrast with the groom’s more classic looks, finishing with sophisticated orchids decorating the backs of forged iron chairs. The emerald-green landscape of the Santa Clotilde Gardens in Cataluniya, boasting classic sculptures, old staircases covered with wild ivy, mesmerizing views of the sea create a powerful equilibrium between luxury and finesse, the beauty of the moment frozen in time, under the rays of a setting sun.
Dinner at the Manor:
Antique silverware was chosen for the table, classic patinated gold plates, decorated with 24-carat gold ornaments, crystal glassware and bronze chandeliers on a silk tablecloth. Plated steel vase with floral arrangements of orchids, peony-roses, peonies, jasmine and other garden flowers. The gentle sounds of classical music and the light of the candles top off the wedding dinner with a dreamy, romantic atmosphere.
When we created the wedding story of Lisa and Claudio, our main reference point was harmony, a combination of elegance and luxury in every detail while retaining a sense of proportion to emphasize our couple, their feelings and emotions of the moment.
Love, romance, tenderness are some of the most recurrent themes in the fine-arts. Our classical approach to the art of wedding composition makes it so each one of the stories we create are filled with beauty, elegance and pure feelings.

From the bride:
We’ve decided to hold our ceremony in the mountains. They have a special atmosphere, there is something mysterious and attractive about them, something that keeps intimate feelings and emotions away from the public eye. And even though there are many beautiful and majestic mountains in Italy, Switzerland and France, our choice fell on a very picturesque place in our beloved Georgia – Kazbegi. It is hard to find more hospitable people, living with a sense of a holiday inside, and always smiling. And we just wanted to experience this inexpressible Georgian charm.
We invited only the closest people, making the celebration very cozy and homey warm. Our guests and us stayed in the world famous Room Hotel Kazbegi, which interior literally tells the story of the Georgian people.
The basis for the décor conception, as well as the entire wedding, served natural textures and ethnic motives. The location we’ve chosen, with all its rocks, mountain tops and slopes, was so original that only a few additional décor elements were necessary.
Our decorators picked amazingly beautiful natural materials: stones, impressive wooden tables, silk ribbons, snags, candles in the stone holders, and added some tender white and gray-blue flowers.
The wedding dress was custom made of natural silk with a long train easily picked up by the wind, making the bride look more mysterious. With the stylist we have decided to make three different images: the one for the morning had natural curls, the other for the walk had the hair on one side, and for the ceremony we put the hair back and added a three meter long veil.
The bride Alexandra about preparation for the wedding.
Wedding is a bright and warm celebration not only for the marrying couple, but for the close relatives and friends as well. Therefore we wanted to create a very special atmosphere for the event, filled with the warmth of the summer, light white colors and a lot of lights. Many international blogs and magazines were studied for the inspiration, however the main themes and images were suggested by the nature itself.
It had been raining the entire week before the wedding, but on the wedding day the sun was up in the sky, shining brightly over the rich green colors of the country hotel “Rodniki” (The Springs). This place, located outside of the big city is quite unique and picturesque. There you find the stoned footpaths covered with wet moss, a century old fir-trees casting fancy shadows and each tree leaf reflecting its own tint of green.
The idea behind the décor was to make it look very natural and fit the perfect scenery around. The lounge zone was like the forest tent grown up among the bright green colors surrounding it. Romantic live music, Champaign and cheese table added to the atmosphere of the summer holiday. The ceremony, which took place almost at sunset, was lit by many small lights as if they were some tiny glowworms. The Bride entered the ceremony accompanied by the “Moon River” instrumental tune. In her hands she had a beautiful bouquet of irregular shape.
The accents of the banquet zone were created with the help of the tropical motives. The big monstera leaves served the bases for the plates. The wall behind the couple was decorated as if it was a part of an old house buried in the woods. Metallic candlesticks in the shape of snags reminded of the “souvenirs” from impassible forest. Finally, the mixture of round and long tables turned out to be an ideal option for the celebration – one long table was occupied by the two families’ members, the other round ones were taken by the friends.
It was important during the preparation stage to consider every detail, so that nothing was accidental. At the same time sticking to one specific style was not our intention. Therefore, we ended up with some quite unusual combinations. Vintage furniture was standing next to an armchair of modern style, and the stylish shoes made of plastic and metallic color leather completed the romantic image of the Bride.
The hardest and the longest was the process of choosing the wedding dress. It wasn’t easy to find a dress without paste, lace and excessive splendor, which would go along with natural décor but wouldn’t be too minimalistic. It was a difficult task! The decision to buy this particular dress, made of many layers of natural silk, was made after trying it on. It felt like the dress was made of tender leaves. The headpiece also had some nature themes in it and fit perfectly the elegant image of the Bride.
As for the Groom, here we gave our preferences to the classic attire in order to underline the solemnity of the moment. The traditional tuxedo of the Groom was meant to emphasize the feminine image of the Bride.
By choosing natural themes for our celebration we left no room for any insincere emotions. Only the closest family and friends were invited to the wedding whose happy laughter and tears made it all worth it. The celebration turned out to be so bright that every photo radiates its warmth even during the cold winter evenings.

FROM THE BRIDE AND GROOM
Dear Marina and Alex!
This is happiness when in a big wedding world you find people who can feel the beauty in such way and show it through their work! Every detail, every camera angle, color, moment – all is ideal and harmonic in each photograph. Each photograph is like a dream came true. We have got exactly what we had been dreaming of for a long time, and maybe hadn’t had a chance to examine closely while being ‘inside’ the celebration. Friends and family, everyone found the beauty, the joy and the sincerity on their photographs.
We were especially impressed by the film photographs that turned out to be so alive, deep in color and tender. These are the pictures that we want to frame and surround us with, enjoying them day after day. You managed to have the film photographs reflect the bright moments and the movement, but in even more elegant way.
As any couple we were very nervous and there weren’t a single thought in our heads. Which background to choose, who to have a picture with, how to behave? The only emotion we could show was probably the fright. Guests, bridesmaids and parents were in about the same state of confusion. But you have always found the right words, which put the smiles on our faces. You, as true artists, saw the big picture and directed the shoot easily and naturally.
You helped us a lot not only during the wedding day, but along the process as well. Valuable advices and ideas from Marina helped to create the atmosphere that ultimately impressed all the guests. We sincerely believe that only a few people are able to feel and see the beauty in such a way, and especially create it in their work.
You are not just real professionals, but luminous people as well, pleasant to communicate with. Your eyes are bright with the excitement at each meeting, which speaks of a big love for your craft. All serious moments are easily resolved with you. And a special ‘thanks’ for helping us with some difficulties we had! This celebration wouldn’t take place without you!
We are so glad that we have met such wonderful photographers and look forward to a chance to create something beautiful together with you once again.

I can’t thank Marina and Alex enough for a great day we spent at my one-on-one (in fact one-on-two) workshop.
I was following their work for quite a while and then one day I saw that Marina posted an update on her Instagram on having a workshop planned in Europe. I couldn’t get to the one in Barcelona but I was happy to have a possibility of spending the whole day with her and having all my questions asked at an individual master class instead!
I just started with film photography and even with the amount of information in the Internet it is difficult to figure out which results can you get in different lighting conditions, what can you expect from the lab and how to enter the market where you want to be. Marina is a great teacher: she loves explaining, she makes sure you are following and she is just such a talented and inspiring person!
We were comparing scans, studying all types of lighting, discussing marketing strategies and I got to ask everything that I couldn’t find an answer for before. Second part of the day we spent outside taking photos of a couple at a beautiful beach and Marina and Alex did a great «light walk» with me — we were trying different angles, analyzing reflections, I finally started to meter correctly! It was incredibly useful to see how she works with a real couple to get such relaxed, natural and intimate pictures.
We ended the day with a lovely dinner and a bottle of wine, chatting like old friends. I am very grateful for this experience, knowledge and inspiration I got that day!
FROM THE BRIDE AND GROOM
First of all, we’d like to say ‘thank you’ for the wonderful pictures that reflect so brightly the atmosphere and the emotions of our day!
We took very seriously the process of choosing the photographer and went through a long list of professionals. It was essential for us to get the right balance of price and quality. After we have identified the short list of photographers our choice fell on Marina and Alex because of their personal qualities, easiness in communication and their desire to cooperate and create together. It took us awhile to find the perfect venue, each time thinking over some new conception. And all this time Marina and Alex were patiently waiting for our decision.
And finally the big day arrived!
We decided to have our photo-shoot the day after, thus spending as much time as possible with family and friends on the wedding day. And we were so right about it! We dived into the emotions and thrill of the wedding day completely, not thinking of photo-shoot, while the guys documented each moment without distracting us. Looking through the pictures we were able to see all the details and emotions that we had missed during the wedding day. Thanks to the guys, we were able to experience that day and all the emotions attached to it once again!
The next day we had our photo-shoot in the woods where we felt like the bride and the groom once again… Marina and Alex managed to create the right romantic mood for us! Photo-shoot went by nice and easy!
It is very important for the photographers to ‘feel’ the couple and understand its mood and relations… Marina and Alex were able to live through these days full of love and adrenalin!
